Making the WoW Server LAN

Hey guys, fun question. How do I make my Repack just for my computers at home? LAN Netowrk? So all my computers at home running on the same internet can play together?

Very easy in this case it's a localhost so follow this info:

Go to windows search for the CMD console, there you enter: ( ipconfig)
There appear some IP addresses
The important one in this case is the
192.168.x.x
The X can be any number depending witch is assigned to that pc

That internal IP you going to use as realmlist , so change it in the realmlist table. (db)

Open firewall and open ports for the auth and world server assigned to the internal IP, so traffic can flow

3724 & 8085

From there you can connect to the server PC changing the realmlist in the game client to:

set realmlist 192.168.x.x

In the db table yes SQLyog / auth / realmlist / address.

Sorry in localhost (lan) you need only to open ports from windows/ firewall

So enter firewall, advanced setting
Incoming rules, new rule ports number select TCP put the internal IP address, set incoming to allow and ready same for both ports.

Windows / firewall / advanced settings / incoming rules / new rule / port 8085 / TCP / 192.168.x.x / allow traffic / save


Same for both ports, restart pc after

try to connect if you sure that is right done.

Hey so I opened both ports, restarted my computer and tried to login with the other computer and it says logging into game server then says you been disconnected to the server.

Also looking at the Bentserver config. I dont see a 3724 at all, I see a loginRest.port is 8081. But in the Worldserver config I do see a 8085 so do I need to open both 8085 and 8081?

the port number depends on witch core / rev you using, use the ports that your server needs, the server ports 3724/8085 are the most comun.

in your case its
8081 and 8085
